Palm Beach County Medicaid Planning Lawyer
In life, either you plan or you drift. If you have a concrete estate plan in place, your needs and your family's needs may be provided for as you have planned. Likewise, if you have made a well constructed Medicaid Plan, you have taken steps to ensure that you and your family will be provided for should the need for long term care arise. At our initial consultation, we will discuss your goals and how we can accomplish them. Once I understand your goals, I can begin preparing instruments that will achieve these goals, including the following:
- Qualified income trusts or personal service contracts are often used to help an elderly person become eligible for Medicaid.
- Special needs trusts can help an elderly person become eligible for government benefits.
- Guardianships can be established in order to prevent an elderly person from financial exploitation.
- Estate plans that are vital to facilitate the orderly transfer of a person's assets and property to his or her intended beneficiaries. A will and different kinds of trusts can help to achieve this goal. An estate plan will also give a person's family specific information as to their desires if they become disabled or incapacitated.
When necessary, I work with accountants, financial planners and other experts in order to achieve your goals. My experience as a Series 7, 63 and 65 licensed financial advisor is often invaluable to my clients.
